Great food, casual conversation, and a relaxing atmosphere is what Busboy and Poets brings to the table. Busboy and Poets is a restaurant, bookstore, and fair trade market. Many people are attracted to Busboy's because of their open mic and poetry nights. Open mic night is particularly appealing to many artists because it is open to all forms of creative expression (dancers, musicians, comedians, and mimes). If you are interested in chilling and enjoying the food and atmosphere, or if you are more interested in actively participating in discussions on social justice and peace with some of your peers, then this is the place to be.
Personally, I am fascinated with music and poetry, and would love to get up on stage and present some poetry, or even sing a song. That might not ever happen because I am terrified of being in front of people, but I know there are many people who want to present some of their art, but just do not know where to go.
