When I found out that I would have to do a blog for eight weeks I was excited. When I picked my subject, things to do in the DMV, my interest only increased. Once I first got my feet on the ground, blogging was easy. However, as time progressed and the more I got involved, I started to realize that blogging is a lot of work. To make things more difficult, doing it on my subject would be very hard because I would have to visit each place I reviewed. Also, I realized that I would have to do a lot of preliminary research and exploring to get the result I wanted for my blog.
I wanted my blog to be fairly successful by at least providing someone an informed review of the diverse things to do in the DMV. Over time, I became thankful that this was a class assignment and in eight weeks I would not have to do it ever again. Actually, I give people credit for doing blogs full-time. It is a lot of work and you really need to be dedicated to blogging to make it successful. It is hard for me to dedicate myself to blogging because I have so many other things going on in my life (multiple classes, two full-time jobs, and raising a three-year-old son). Trying to find out things to do and not having the time to do some of those things myself was the most frustrating. After some thought and because my topic demanded so much of my time, perhaps I would have been better served to have chosen a different topic at the beginning.
In sum, even though I did not have the time to blog the way I wanted to I pulled through and got my work done. I had to suck it up and do what I needed to
This is a nice final post. You really do let the reader in on both positive and negative aspects of blogging. And I agree with you--those who blog full-time are quite amazing to me, too.
